Kat Hurdley

Kat Hurdley.

Frontend Developer

“A learning experience is one of those things that says, 'You know that thing you just did? Don't do that.”

Douglas Adams

Kat is relatively new to the development world, having been a primary school teacher for nearly 10 years.  Kat has always had a keen interest in coding and tech, and specialised in teaching coding and Lego Robotics before making the switch to frontend development in 2022.

Solving problems and learning new things is what motivates Kat.  As a developer, she loves bringing ideas and designs to life as user-friendly and accessible products.

Kat has worked on a variety of projects from cultural causes and events to education, including her first solo app - a programme for Whitby Folk Week 2023.

Kat's favourite city in the world is...

Sheffield is my adopted home - I’ve been here pretty much since University, barring a year in Canterbury for teacher training.  It’s vibrant and busy without feeling overwhelming, and it’s so GREEN!

I also really liked Nantes.  I love the sea, I found a folk session in a pub to join in with, and I enjoy dusting off my rusty French!
